Qualifications
- Have, as a minimum, graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Have the knowledge and ability to perform necessary computerized nursing functions.
- Possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state
- Be certified in C.P.R.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of assigned personnel for the purpose of ensuring that appropriate nursing services are provided to each resident in accordance with the assigned employees' job descriptions, policies and procedures, and individualized resident care plans
- Provide direct nursing care; carries out a variety of treatments and procedures to assist in the nursing care of residents with various illnesses and other conditions.
- Makes daily rounds to monitor and ensure that: assigned nursing services personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards; nursing services work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner; and he or she communicates with residents and their families to assess the quality of care being provided.
- Adheres to and ensures that personnel: comply with existing pharmacological and administration of medication policies and procedures; document medications administered; maintain an accurate narcotic count and ensure that narcotic records are accurate; adhere to stop order policies and procedures; and transcribe physicians' orders to resident charts, care plans, as required.
- Supervises assigned personnel; assists in documenting and evaluating selected competencies of assigned staff; submits documentation and recommendations, as directed to the person assigned to complete employee evaluations.
- Is responsible for administering all Personnel Policies and Procedures in a fair and equitable manner.
- Attends, participates in, and completes all mandatory in-service education/training as required by the Center and state regulations.
- Participates in the orientation and/or training of new and/or current employees.
- Provides direct nursing care; carries out a variety of treatments and procedures to assist in the nursing care of residents with various illnesses and other conditions. Administers medications, treatments, and assists with examinations and procedures calling for more specialized physician's care, as necessary. Documents resident responses to nursing interventions.
- Note: Centers may designate this position as a primary care nurse with an assigned workload.
- Makes daily rounds to: ensure that assigned personnel refer to the individualized resident care plan prior to administering daily care and adheres to the plan in providing services; assess resident and family teaching activities; observe residents' general physical and emotional condition; assess resident care and the clinical environment and makes changes and/or improvements in procedures; and assess resident and family satisfaction with care and services.

Qualifications
- Possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Be currently certified/licensed in accordance with state statutes and regulations
- Successfully complete the required annual in-service hours for continued certification/licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine daily nursing assistant care in accordance with established nursing practices
- Services to meet the resident's needs and comforts to the extent possible.
- Receives the nursing report upon reporting in and gives the report to their assigned Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse upon ending shift duty hours.
- May participate, as directed by his or her assigned Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, in the development, maintenance and regularly scheduled reviews of individualized resident care plans.
- Attends, participates in, and completes all mandatory in-service education/training as required by the Center and state regulations.
- Participates in the orientation and/or training of new and/or current employees.
- Provides and ensures the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, safety and hygienic needs of assigned residents and assists in ensuring effective and efficient coordination of nursing care activities in accordance with the resident's individualized resident care plan.
- Informs his or her assigned Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse of any change in a resident's condition so that appropriate information can be entered into the resident's care plan.
